Even if you don't understand the school lessons, a professional Japanese teacher will guide you through Japanese school lessons in simple Japanese.
We can teach Japanese, mathematics, science, social studies, and English using elementary school and junior high school texbooks.
You can also study lessons from previous grades in order to improve your academic skills.

This course is prepared for children living in Japan that plan to take entrance exams (junior high school and high school). We will teach students in areas where they have trouble.
High school examination preparation is especially important, therefore, we have structured a curriculum which is suitable for high school examinees.

- What happens if I take a day off?
If you let us know that you will be busy or not available by the day before, you can have a make-up class on another day.
- Is it possible to take a long vacation?
Yes, you can take a long vacation on a monthly basis. If you contact us by the 25th of the previous month, there will be no tuition fee during the holidays. If your vacation time is less than two months, you can keep the same teacher after that time.
- What should I do if I want to unsubscribe?
You can unsubscribe by contacting us by the 25th of the previous month.
- Will the teacher change during and after the free trial?
It won’t change. The teacher at the time of the free trial will be in charge of further academic progression after the trial lesson has ended.
- Is it possible to change the teacher?
Yes you can. If you feel like your student needs a change of teacher we can refer you to another teacher with the goal of finding the right academic path for your student. Since it is individual tuition, we believe that compatibility between students and teachers is very important. - What kind of teacher will teach my child?
When hiring teachers, we carry out aptitude tests and only hire successful applicants. Teachers are trained multiple times after hiring, and only selected teachers are hired to provide lessons for students.
- When can I start taking classes?
After applying, you can start classes it may take up to a week for classes to start.
- Is it okay if I can hardly speak Japanese?
It’s okay because a Japanese teacher with skills and experience will teach you. You can use teaching materials with translations such as Chinese, Portuguese, and English according to your child’s level so there is no need to worry.
- What study methods do you use?
We use Skype and Zoom to give lessons tailored to each child.
Smile Japanese classes double as homeroom and one-on-one classes. The same teacher teaches responsibly while building a relationship of trust over time. Since the personal computer is used to receive video calls, there are no difficult operations using the keyboard. There is no problem even if you are not familiar with computer operation.
- Can I cancel after joining?
You can. Full refund within 2 weeks after enrollment.
- What are Skype and Zoom?
Both Skype and Zoom are online communication systems. Communication charges are free no matter where you call from anywhere in the world. Children and teachers can teach while seeing each other. For details, please see the websites of each company.
- Can I use Wi-Fi?
Yes, you can use Wi-Fi. However, depending on the Internet environment, the sound quality may be poor or interrupted. Therefore, a LAN cable is recommended. If there are connection difficulties for more than 5 minutes, a make-up class will be arranged.
- Do I need internet?
Internet is required. Please prepare broadband such as a cable for optical communication. As long as it is broadband, it can be from any company.
- Is any other material required, when students take their classes?
Basically, all you need is a personal computer.
If your computer doesn’t have a built-in camera, you only need to get a webcam.
- Do I need to buy any software?
No need to buy extra software.
All you have to do is download the Skype or Zoom app.
If you have any problems while downloading, we will help you by phone.
- How do I pay the tuition fee?
You can choose to pay the tuition fee by bank transfer or credit card payment.
- Is there a teaching material fee?
The teaching materials used in the free trial will be presented free of charge. After that, when you need new teaching materials to continue onto the next level, you will be charged for the teaching materials. The cost of teaching materials is about 5,000 yen per year.
- What kind of teaching materials do you use?
We will use teaching materials tailored to each child’s individual academic needs and goals. We can also use the same textbooks your child uses at school or self-study textbooks, and sometimes they can print off their homework to help their comprehension. For the first time in the Japanese course, you can also use texts with translations such as Chinese, Portuguese, and English. We may also use manga, anime, websites, etc. to suit your child’s interests.
